Our Needs and How You Can Help
We can only help if they contact us. Even after over 40 years in the community we hear, “I wish I had known about Birthright when I was pregnant.” Please help us spread the word. Those familiar with Birthright’s services can be ambassadors for Birthright, letting someone in need know there is pregnancy assistance available. Could you provide our literature at your place of business, church, or social club? We have an Outreach Team who speaks at community events or organizations, telling about what Birthright does and how to help. We have spoken at churches, schools, clubs, hospitals, and business meetings. Would you invite us to come and speak to your organization or club? Please contact the office for more information by phone or through the form on our Contact page.
Birthright is private, nonprofit agency supported solely by individuals, businesses and local churches. We receive no State or Federal money or grants. Our office is run by dedicated volunteers. As we continue to come to the aid of women and their families, our need for your financial support grows. Be assured, all of your donation will be used at Birthright of Bel Air to help those in our surrounding community. Mail your tax-deductible donation to Birthright at 38 East Gordon Street, Bel Air Maryland 21014.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Birthright. At Birthright, our volunteers are client advocates, manage material donations, answer calls, welcome clients, help keep our resources up to date and so much more. If God has placed this ministry on your heart, there is a place for you at Birthright. To ensure clients receive our best, every volunteer at Birthright gives an initial background check and is fingerprinted. Since we opened our doors in 1982, we have served thousands of women and their families in Harford County and the surrounding area. With your help, we will continue to serve even more.
Volunteering is open to both men and women, ages 18 and over. We have male volunteers willing to encourage and mentor our clients who will be a father for the first time or are just trying to be good dad to the family they have.
A good first step for volunteering is to attend one of our monthly open houses – usually on the first Wednesday of the month from 7-8pm. If you are interested in volunteering to help families in need or simply want to learn more about what happens at Birthright of Bel Air, call the office at 410-838-0443 or contact our Volunteer Coordinator through the web form on our Contact page.
Above all, we need your prayers. Prayer that we continue to walk in God’s will. That we always put God on display through our words and actions. Prayers that those in need may hear about Birthright and contact us for support and help. We have a quarterly prayer meeting at the office and all are welcome. At these prayer meetings we typically invite pastors or leaders from community churches to share a devotional and help lead us in a time of prayer. If you would like to be a part of our prayer meetings, please let us know by completing this contact form.
